Category: 24

We’ve got some real developments in this hour of 24 fun. Among the episode, Dana Walsh confronts Jake, but does it end in her favor? Renee is badgered about her actions, and Jack finally tells Hastings that he is a terrible director.  All this and more, beginning at midnight.

We ended last week with a cliffhanger.  Dana was spying on Jake and his buddy, pulling out a gun.  My initial reaction was thinking she was just going to scare them off, and certainly not murder them in cold blood.  However, she was in a bit of a pickle. She followed his van to what seems like the middle of nowhere, and sat in her car, thinking about her next actions.  Also last week, Ortiz was told by Arlo that she was having an affair, so Ortiz took that moment to “Chase a lead”, actually tracking down Dana.

Sergei told Jack the location of the nuclear rods last episode, but we learned in the final five minutes of the hour that Josef had gone behind his father’s back, and was about to sell the rods to Fahrad.  Jack was able to get Josef on the line, and talk him into taking the benefits of a presidential pardon, because those aren’t given away just any day… Josef finally decides to walk away with his father, accepting the pardon, but Fahrad’s people saw the betrayal and sniped him dead.  Or at least we believe he is dead.  Later on in the episode, CTU couldn’t find the body.  I can’t believe they would kill a character played by David Anders off so quickly.

Fahrad ended up obtaining the rods as he initially intended, but we learned something new.  Apparently, the rods weren’t meant for the United States.  Fahrad meant to smuggle them out, but his mean cornered him, asking him to join them in attacking New York.  Of course it has to be New York, because if it were Los Angeles, the attack would be happening there, trouble follows Jack Bauer.  Maybe it would be better if he actually died. Fahrad agrees to join them, but later runs at the next opportune time, and calls CTU asking for help.

Renee had already given her statement to Chloe, but the White House, or shall I say Rob Weiss, thought it was prudnent that one of his people debrief Agent Walker.  Hastings, being a bad director gives the go ahead, saving his own tail, and let Renee get questioned again.  Only this time, it wasn’t a fair question. This woman had her own theory on what happened, and if it were a courtroom, she would have been badgering the witness.  Upon hearing this news, Jack couldn’t stand his pookie bear being questioned like that, so he took out a guard, and choked the woman questioning Renee.  After Jack grabbed Renee’s hand and started leaving, he was stopped shortly thereafter getting tased for a second time this season. What do you expect, Jack, you are in CTU.

Ortiz finds his bride-to-be stalking out Jake and his buddy, and holding a gun.  He forced the story out of her, to which she stated, “My name is not Dana Walsh, it’s Jenny Scott.”  She went on to explain her entire story, but Ortiz couldn’t believe she was about to kill them.  He wanted to release her from her burden, so with her gun, he approached the two in the van.  Told them that they could go back to prison, or go back to where they come from.  If they didn’t, he would kill them.  Jake backs down, but his bearded buddy wouldn’t have any of it, he was about to kill Ortiz.  Jake tried to stop him, but was stabbed in the process.  He cried out to Dana, and of course Ortiz spinned around just in time to take out the trash. I guess her problems were over.

When leaving CTU, Jack noticed Hastings putting an amateur to head the task force to get Fahrad out.  Jack calls him out on his terrible judgements, saying he’s been in the same spot, it’s tough, but being director of CTU has leverage, especially when there is a nuclear weapon on US soil.  He agreed to lead the mission if he relieved Renee from criminal accusations.  Hastings agreed, and Jack went back to action. Tick tock…tick tock.

24: S08E08 – 11:00PM – 12:00AM | Recap

24 is packed with action once more this week.  Included in tonight’s hour, President Hassan continues his paranoia, Agent Ortiz grows suspicious of Dana when she continues to deal with her current predicament, and Jack Bauer is tortured once again by angry Russians, all this and more in tonight’s episode!

President Hassan’s daughter visits him, angry at him for taking her boyfriend into custody, seeing that he is perfectly innocent.  He disagrees with her, and is upset after learning she had been dating one of his employees, but she is quick with a comeback, using his own discretions against him.

Dana Walsh has been running around, worried that she’ll get caught after her stalker beat up the security guard.  Well, all seems well, because he got away, and was enjoying the good life when she finally got a hold of him.  Although, he told her that he was not done with her help yet, as I would have guessed.  Because $120,000 is obviously not enough money to retire with, he needed to really get rich. If she didn’t help him, he threatened to squeal to her boyfriend.  All the while, Stalker #2, creepy CTU colleague caught her in the act talking to her ex, and thought she was leaving Ortiz for her ex.  He threatened to also squeal to Ortiz, leaving Dana in a little bit of a pickle.

After being carried underground, Jack is brought to the head Russian, who was currently making a pot of stew.  Jack tried to hold his cover, offering to outbid Farhad for the fuel rods. Thinking Jack is a cop, he unleashes his best torturer out on him.  They string him up, like a previous 24 episode, where Jack once died.  Only this time, they hook him up to something that looks like a car battery, and connect a couple jumper cables to his body, one being in his stab wound, and they let it zap him.

When Ortiz brings Renee in after her meltdown, Hastings gives her a look of disappointment, but at the same time, a look that says, “Point the camera at me, because I look good” He puts the blame on her for killing their only lead to the fuel rods, even though from the start, Jack said she is unstable.  Anyway, he told her that she had to go to medical for a complete psych evaluation. Meanwhile, Ortiz talks to Stalker #2 about his fiancé, to which he is told that she might be out with a guy, her ex.

In the torture room, somehow, Jack the Grandpa got the upper hand, and zapped his captor, broke the pipe that was holding him, and killed the guy all without being heard by the bad guys in the next room.  When he got out, he killed the lights and waited for the bad men to come to him, so he could use their cell phone to get a hold of Chloe, to trace the number.  Needless to say, Jack gets a machine gun and starts blasting people away, while the head Russian had a pretty cool shotgun, and the two had a showdown.  In the end, Jack ran out of bullets, so the only smart thing to do is to hide under an invulnerable table.  Even after the Russian shot the table with a shotgun, Jack was untouched, and knocked the Russian out with that invulnerable table.

The Russian guy tells Jack where the fuel rods are, and Ortiz and the gang were off to find it.  Though when they got to the location, they found nothing but two dead guards, and an empty truck as well as a golden cross necklace.  Josef had backstabbed his father, and was taking the fuel rods to Fahrad, and would be there in less than five minutes, because in 24’s world you can get anywhere in a major city in no more than 5 minutes. At the club, Dana Walsh spies on her ex, and pulls a gun from her purse and the clock goes tick tock tick tock.

24: S08E07 – 10:00pm-11:00pm | Recap

In this fun-filled hour of TV, we learn President Hassan and Renee Walker are both losing their marbles, Dana Walsh goes through with her plot to help her ex steal money, but does it work? Find out in this recap!

For the past few hours, we learn that after the attempt on his life President Hassan has not only grown angry at his brother for his betrayal, but also paranoid that everybody is after him, so he has been going against his initial views on peace, and began arresting some of his own men, because he was sure they were in on the conspiracy.  He is also threatening to terrorize their families in order for them to talk.  Needless to say, he’s losing his mind.

Also losing her mind is Renee Walker.  She’s trying hard to make things work, and when Jack shows up, offering to pull her out, she tells him no, that would compromise everything, so he is forced to stay undercover.  When she tries to pressure Vladimir into asking for an initial $5 million dollars, he pushes her away, and says they are fine.  When he will not leave her alone, she goes postal, takes a knife out, and stabs him in the eye! If that wasn’t enough, she continues to stab him after he’s already dead.  When Jack comes to intervene, she stabs him in the gut! Though a simple stab to the gut isn’t enough to stop Jack Bauer, he still is able to toss that same knife into a villain nearby’s neck, and shoot down the rest of the Russians. Go Jack!

Meanwhile, Dana Walsh walks her ex through the steps of thievery, gives him the security codes, and watches the security cams as he does his criminal act.  They find the right place, and they even find the money, but his partner isn’t happy with just that, so with 15 minutes until they are caught, they decide to stay and look for more cool things, like squirt guns. Needless to say, when those 15 minutes was up, a security guard showed up, and they had no choice, but to beat the man down with a baseball bat.  Stupid, now Dana’s career is in jeopardy.

Well, after calling CTU, and giving them a quick briefing of what just happened, some more Russians showed up.  Jack stashed Renee into the bathroom’s closet, and went into the living room, bouncing right back into character. He told them he was forced to fight them when they backstabbed him.  So they took him away, leaving Renee in the closet to be later found by Agent Ortiz and the rest of CTU.  Jack is dragged through some underground tunnels, undetected by CTU’s drones. Tick tock tick tock.

In this next action filled hour of adventure, Renee continues to stay under cover, even when the whole ordeal became harsh quick.  Jack maintains his cover as the buyer, and Dana Walsh succumbs to her stalker’s demands? We’ll see about that.

The clock ticks nine at night, and Jack has just arrived to the scene where Renee was being held captive by Vladimir.  He took her with him when he began to trust her.  Jack is worried about her safety and wants to pull her out but Director Hastings says they cannot risk the operation, they just have to have faith in Renee.

It appears Dana Walsh is actually doing what her stalker ex was demanding.  She brought up some info on stolen money from a drug bust, telling him that she could get him in and out, no questions asked. She found out the codes, and printed a card off for him that would grant him access.  She was able to get it to him, but not before her not-so-secret admirer co-worker spotted her deal over the security cameras.  I’m betting in the end she’ll set him up.

The last time we saw Josef, he was sneaking his brother into a hospital and having a doctor take a look at him without questions.  Throughout the episode we realize that indeed the brother is in serious condition and needs a bone marrow transplant.  Seeing how Josef can’t risk it, he asked if there was anything else the good doctor could do for him.  It appears that maybe there is something they could do, but there are no promises.  He gave him some medication that would begin to show signs of improvement in a week, well seeing we don’t have a week, I’m already thinking somewhere along this season, this guy is going to die.

Well it doesn’t take long for Vladimir to go after Renee. She gave Jack a call to let him know the deal is on, and he would be there soon.  Vladimir took this as an opportunity to get friendly with Renee, ignoring her constant rejections.  When Jack told her over her earpiece (that she has no problem wearing in the shower) that she doesn’t have to do this, they can find another way, she told him this was the only way, and then flushed the earpiece.

So Jack then went under his cover, rocking his creepy glasses look from “Phonebooth”.  They noticed almost right away that he had an American accent while speaking German. So they decided to have the rest of the conversation in English.  The deal went by pretty smoothly. He wired the five million dollars into their account, to which they tried to kill him, under Vladimir’s orders, of course. Jack wasn’t stupid though, he’s done this before.  Agent Cole Ortiz was acting as the sniper, and took everyone down, all except the man who Jack was dealing with personally.  After a conversation with a frustrated Vladimir,  Jack and the man were off to do some actual business.  By actual, I mean Jack is probably going to kick some major tail when he finds Vladimir.

Back at the hospital, Josef was found by his father’s men.  Obeying his orders, they took Josef and his brother back into custody.  You can bet their father was not very happy with this attempt to save his son’s life.  To punish Josef, he pulled out a gun, and shot his dying son in the chest, taking away his final breath. I guess I was right about him dying this season. I’m not sure exactly why the father doesn’t want his son to live.  Maybe it is so it removes any growing questions revolving the weaponized uranium.

24: S08E05 – 8:00PM – 9:00 PM

This recap is written in real time

In this episode of 24, Renee continues to prove to everyone that she is unstable while undercover with the Russians, CTU analyst Dana Walsh meets with her mystery stalker to which we finally are givin some insight as to what’s going on, and finally David Ander’s character tries to save his brother’s life from the rapid effects of the weaponized uranium.

We start the hour off with Josef Bazhaev (Anders) worrying about the life of his brother, who is suffering from the effects of the uranium. Their father, on the other hand couldn’t care less if his son dies, and tells him to just let it happen. This doesn’t pass off as acceptable, so Josef takes his brother to a doctor and tells him to operate under the table, seeing he has the effects of illegal weaponized uranium in his system. This was pretty much their storyline of the hour.

CTU Analyst Dana Walsh can’t seem to get this stalker off her back when he calls her again. This time, he wants her to meet him face to face at her apartment so they can settle some things, needless to say, she agrees because had she said no, he would have called her boyfriend, Ortiz, and told him about her past. Apparently she was an accessory to murder. He explained it as her name isn’t really Dana Walsh, its Jenny and she is an ex-con that had something to do with a murder. They way I see it, is she was caught in something bad, probably a getaway driver, when her boyfriend (the stalker) killed someone. We learn more about that later.

Renee is still trying to keep her cover. Jack thinks she is unstable, which she obviously is. She convinces him to leave before the guy wakes up. Apparently she didn’t cut the guy’s hand off, it was only his thumb, so my bad. Well, Jack gives her another shot, and leaves. When the man comes to, Renee tells him that he’s free and offers him a little money, and he seems to forget all about his missing thumb and takes her to the man, Vladimir Laitanan, to find out more about the uranium. He tests her on her loyalty asking her questions. Thanks to Chloe’s googling powers, each question was answered correctly, but Vlad isn’t completely sure she is telling the truth, so he shoves her in a car trunk and drives off. Jack then drives after the car.

When Dana meets her stalker, she offers him $1,000 to leave her alone once and for all, but as it turns out, he’s not after her money, he’s after her job. He knows that she has access to some highly classified security files, like bank codes and files. He wants her to hand over some info, so he can get his hands on six figures. Supposedly, if she does this one job for him, he’ll leave her alone for good, but something tells me he won’t.

It turns out the car Jack was following was a decoy, and Renee was really on the other side of town. Vlad pulled a gun on her asking her who she really is. Jack listens on the other line as Renee tells him to pull the trigger, that she really has nothing to live for other than this job. He takes the bate, and lets her live…phew.

Jack has to feel guilty for what Renee has been going through. Had last season not happened, Renee wouldn’t have tried to commit suicide. Everybody around Jack tends to get hurt or dies, I just hope this season, Jack can do some right. I wonder how Dana is going to deal with this, will she do the dirty work, or will she do the right thing? Only time will tell, and the clock is ticking…

24: 2 Day – 4 Hour Premiere | Recap

24 is back with another 2 day 4 hour premiere event! They decided to go old school again with an assasination attempt on the President of some fictional country. President Allison Taylor is back and making an arrangement with him to pull back troops in that country. Jack is living pretty happily with his granddaughter, Terri, watching cartoons. When kim came to pick Terri up, her current boyfriend, or husband, is Paul Wesley, from the Vapire Diaries, I knew I saw that guy before! Well they are heading back home in Los Angeles soon, and they want Jack to come with them, because this season they are in New York City! Well he finally agreed to leave with them he was greeted by a bleeding man at the door.

Earlier we saw this man flee the scene of a crime when a body laid emotionless in a bathtub.  He learned of the assasination attempt on President Omar Hassan’s life, and just had to tell Jack Bauer so he could ruin his life once more. Jack Bauer litterally says, oh no…not again. Chill out, Jack…it’ll all be over by tomorrow, right?
So Jack’s one mission the entire first episode is to get this man to CTU New York, which proves to be more difficult than one can imagine.

When we finally get a look at CTU New York, I quietly ask myself if we’ve been sent to the future this season as their technology has been massively advanced.  We have doors that vertically open to a white space port looking room, everything is opened via hand scanners.  There’s apparently drones all over the world, whatever that means.  They are obviously cameras, but my theory is that they are really invisible robots in the sky watching our every move. There is a new director in control of everything, Brain Hastings, and my personal opinon is that he’s the worst director CTU has ever had.  Not only that, I don’t even think he’s a good actor.  He slouches every time he walks, and its a funny walk too.  Kind of like he owns the place, but doesn’t know what the heck he’s doing at the same time.

Chloe is also in New York, I wasn’t sure why at first, but it has something to do with Morris.  She seems to be having a little trouble with CTU’s sci-fi technologies, and is actually asking for help.  Finally, we have two new characters to the show, CTU analysts Cole Ortiz and Dana Walsh.  Played by Freddie Prinze Jr. and Katee Sackoff.  Somethings screwy out her, but I’ll get to that later.

Well the bloody guy, Victor Aruz, who showed up at Jack’s doorsteps collapsed on their way to CTU.  A random guy noticed and called 911.  Pretty soon, police showed up as well as a couple assasins to kill Aruz.  The killers killed the cops, and Jack and Aruz ran into an abandoned building.  There Jack made his first kill of the day, to which my jaw dropped.  He axed the first guy, and knocked the other one down, tumbling down the stairwell. This was added to my five top favorite Jack moments, included with it are when Jack killed the guy by biting his neck, and when he said “I’m gonna need a hacksaw.” “Drop the coffee” and finally “You probably don’t think I can force this towel down your throat, but trust me I can, all the way.” Treatening to rip out his guts once the towel started to digest…good stuff.

Finally Cole Ortiz made it to the building in a helicoptor, and got off to help Jack.  They handed Aruz to the pilot, then the chopper blew up when a missle came out of no where.  Before Aruz died, he told Jack the assasin has someone on the inside who is close to President Hassan.  Possibly a blonde woman they kept showing us throughout the episode. The clock ticks 5:00 P.M.

After the intel that Aruz gave Jack, CTU learned the “inside man” was the blonde reporter, Meredith Reed.  So Director Brian Hastings doesn’t think twice about it, and brings her in.  Forget about Chloe’s attempt to look at another angle, everybody knows you’re guilty until proven innocent, even when an actual killer is still out there. Well, when all is wrong, Jack would listen to her, but Jack doesn’t seem to care.  All he wants to do is go to LA with his daughter.  Finally, Kim tells Jack to do the right thing and stay.  Oh well, I’m sure she’ll get kidnapped again soon.

Well, Jack’s back, and because Hastings won’t listen to him, its time for him to go behind everyone’s back again.  So he goes to CTU’s armory and steals some weapons.  It wasn’t long before the security found him, and he once again arrested…or so I thought.  Hastings let him go, thinking he’s chasing after ghosts.  He let Chloe help him, seeing he’s not caring much about her anyway, because he’s a terrible director.
Well back to what I was saying before, CTU’s Dana Walsh got a call from somebody claming that she’s someone else, not Dana Walsh.  My initial thought was that she was in Witness Protection, and she’s been found, but that served to be wrong because she’s the one with the secret that could ruin her career…I just wonder what that is.

It is now 6:00 P.M.  The man we have been getting more and more info on, the man Chloe believes is the man setting up Meredith Reed takes a policeman and his wife hostage.  We find out it is because he wants the policeman to call into work sick, and that he’s having someone else take his place, him.

Jack got to the house after a run-in with some tough ball-players.  Though they backed off at the sight of Jack’s gun.  They pointed at the house, and when he got there, he realized the cop and his wife were already dead, so he inspected the scene of the crime.  The bad guy was already gone, but it wasn’t long before the police showed up, tasing Jack to the ground.  Jack wasn’t able to shout “Don’t tase me bro”
Well, it seems police officers don’t look to highly on cop killers, and they think Jack did it.  So, Jack needs to get beat up a bit, and yes, these cops are wasting time. Because the first attempt on Hassan’s life will be made within the hour.

At CTU, Dana Walshes mystery caller shows up and meets up with her.  When she went out to meet him, he refused to leave her alone.  To temporarily get rid of him, she gave him her apartment key.  When she asked if he needed her address, he said “I already got it.”  Creepy.  Maybe giving him your key wasn’t the smartest idea.

In the space-station’s interogation room, Merideth Reed was being questioned about the whole Hassan thing.  It doesn’t take her long to crack, and tell him that they are having an affair.  Later, when asked about it, Hassan confirmed the relationship, but Hastings isn’t convinced she’s innocent quite yet. Because he’s a terrible director.
So if Merideth Reed isn’t the “inside man” who is? You might ask.  Well we find out that it is none other than Hassan’s brother.  Well the encrypted file they found on Merideth’s affects showed the location of a bomb at the U.N. Ortiz is skepticle that there’s actually a bomb in the highly secure building, but bad director Hastings tells him to evacuate now, leading the President right into the hands of the bad men.

After Jack finally gets free from the cops grasps, he’s able to contact Ortiz, saying that there is an assassin there, potraying a police officer, and he’s going to try to kill the President.  Cole Ortiz takes Jack’s info, and he charges after the President to save his life, he pulls his car around and blocks the President’s car off just in time for the bomb to go off, blowing both cars in opposite directions….tick…tick…tick.

Thank goodness both men were fine.  Heck Tony and Michelle weren’t even in the car when it blew up and killed her, but Ortiz was absolutely fine.  He was able to get Hassan out of his vehicle just in time to see the assassin flee the scene. Time to play cat and mouse. Hassan’s brother also freaks out, stabbing the first security officer he sees, and running.  Of course Hassan learns of this, and is not very happy of his brothers betrayal.

Well the assassin makes the drop on Ortiz, and orders him to pull CTU off his back, but Ortiz surprisingly does the right thing and risks his own life, telling them he’s there.  Before the assassin pops Ortiz, Jack saves the day…or hour rather, and shoots the assassin.  That’s when we first see the tattoos. Jack takes some pictures with his SPRINT phone, I think we get the idea, Fox.

The tattoos proved to be part of the Russian Maffia.  Thankfully for CTU, they know someone who was undercover with the Russian Mob, none other than Renee Walker! Yes, I knew after last season they couldn’t just kick her off the show, she was too good…she’s back, and I can’t wait. So they are bringing her in, to debrief her…

We soon learn from the assassin’s body that it was exposed to some kind of weaponized version of uranium.  Great…another virus?  Who knows, one can only guess. Well when Renee flew in rather quickly, Hastings makes another stupid decision and asks her to go back undercover to find this uranium.  She says okay, but something seems off with her.

Jack confronted her and told her he was worried about her, she has cuts on her wrists after apparently trying to commit suicide. He said going undercover may not be the best decision right now.  Well she told him it was her decision, not his.  So he decided to go with her. She didn’t like having a babysitter. He was to play the buyer.

Everything seems to go well.  Renee bounced back into her cover, and everything seems to go alright, until she cuts the guys hand off! Jack wants to end the whole cover but she told him she’s just getting started.  Wow, Renee is crazy this season! I wonder, not for the first time, if Renee will take Jack’s place as the lead in 24 if Jack finally get’s a day off. Only time will tell.  This season seems to be promising, and I can’t wait for the next episode.

24: S07E24: 7:00-8:00 Recap

24-sc-2403-375-f-1

This recap is written in real time…

After escaping from Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory, Jack found a branch of a major Taxi Cab company. He was seconds away from stealing one of the cabs, but Tony intervened shooting at Jack. One of the bullets pierced a tank in the cab, leaving it leaking gasoline. So at that moment, he thought the best thing to do was to blow himself up in an attempt to take Tony with him. Tony, however, was quick, and stopped Jack from committing suicide.

At the White House, Ethan decided to show up again, revealing that he knew what Olivia did, as did Aaron. She offered to resign if he wouldn’t make it public, but he was determined to let President Taylor know the truth about her daughter.

While Tony was holding Jack, he flip flopped once more, and told Jack it was all a play. He had no intention of using Jack to get the pathogen. He said a man named Alan Wilson was behind basically every attack on 24. He said everything he worked on that day was to meet him face to face, to kill him. So in a way, he thinks it is a means to an end. Then he told Jack he wouldn’t kill Alan, Jack would have to pull the trigger, so to speak. Tony strapped a bomb to Jack’s chest.

Alan then arrived with his posse. After his men searched Tony and his girlfriend for weapons, he exited his limo. They then brought Jack to Alan. Just about when Tony was going to blow Jack up, Renee showed up in a helicopter, thanks to Bob’s laptop and a shootout pursued. Renee found Jack, and disarmed the bomb.

Hiding in the warehouse, Tony shot his girlfriend while escorting Alan. He confronted Alan. Tony was about to pull the trigger when Renee shot him in the shoulder. Jack shouted at Tony to stop, but he wouldn’t, so Jack shot Tony’s hand, which stopped him.

At a half hour left in the show, Jack was ready to be sent to the hospital. He spoke to Renee, who told him Alan denied everything, which was expected. She offered to make him talk…Jack style. She asked him what to do, but all Jack said was that he couldn’t tell her what to do, she just had to do what’s necessary. He told her to “Try to make choices she could live with.” This really feels like Jack is handing off the job of running the show to Renee.

At the White House, Olivia met with her mother and father, to tell them what she did. At first, President Taylor thought it was because she leaked the location, but Olivia told them that it was worse, she ordered the attack on Jonas Hodges. President Taylor was furious, but Henry wanted to cover it up, and then blamed his wife for not stopping their son’s death.

At the hospital, Jack was told the only thing they could do is induce a coma, so he wouldn’t feel a thing. They told him he had a visitor, I thought it’d be Kim to save the day, but it was the preacher from before. They said a small prayer, before Jack said, “It’s time.” For what? Death? Coma?

In the White House, the President finally made her decision. She had a sworn duty to obey the constitution, so Olivia was taken away by Aaron Pierce into Federal custody. This upset her husband, making her feel as if she lost her whole family.

At 4 minutes remaining in the show, Alan Wilson arrived in FBI Headquarters and went straight to the holding cell. Janis asked Renee to sign transfer documents, but Renee wasn’t happy with that, she was determined to get answers. She cuffed Janis, and stepped into the room with Alan.

Kim showed up at the hospital, but was too late. Jack was already in the coma. Kim said she wasn’t ready to give up, and asked the doctor if it was too late to try the experimental treatment. It wasn’t, so the doctor made the call. Ending day seven.

24: S07E23: 6:00-7:00 Recap

24-sc-2330-378-f

This recap is written in real time…

Last week, 24 was brought back to the good old days of season 1. Thanks to Kim’s terrible luck, she was kidnapped again. Rather she had some very bad people keeping an eye on her. This fact lured Jack into doing whatever they want.

This episode started off with a debriefing. Olivia Taylor was being questioned about Hodges death. It was only a formality, they had to question everyone who knew about his whereabouts. Meanwhile her mother, President Taylor was busy in a meeting. She was laying down her concerns about everyone else who was involved in the creation of the bio-weapon. They needed to question Tony more to find out who all was in that group.

At the airport, Kim noticed a scratch on Bob’s neck from his fight earlier. His “wife” covered for him, saying it was from the cab’s door. Apparently it hit him on the way out.

While in the transport vehicle with Tony, Jack commandeered the vehicle, threatening to kill a fellow officer. Probably not the best move in the world, but it keeps my interest. After he took control of the vehicle, he explained that they had his daughter. When they got to the meeting spot, Tony grabbed Jack. Tony’s “girlfriend” told him to kill Jack, but Tony explain Jack had the pathogen in his system, that they should try to extract it from him.

At the White House, Ethan arrived, and Aaron greeted him. He told them the reason he had him come over, was because he believed Olivia was somehow involved in Hodges death. He needed him to access a digital recording in the room where Olivia met with Martin Collier. Ethan understood, and accessed the recording.

After her debriefing at the top of the hour, Olivia walked into her office and found Ethan, trying to cover his footsteps. In only a few minutes, she figured out what he was up to, and ordered security to stop Ethan while leaving the white house.

Renee called Chloe at FBI Headquarters, and explained the situation. She told Chloe to call the agent at Kim’s Gate at the airport. After being called to the front, Kim got the call from Renee, and she told her that people were following her. She knew almost immediately it was the couple who’s been talking to her. When Bob came around asking if she needed help, she covered herself by saying it was airport security. Her ruse worked for a minute or two before Bob noticed airport police looking for them, that’s when all the excitement happened. Kim stole a pen earlier from the desk, and stabbed the woman holding her hostage. She was free, but the man continued to escape.

At 6:32, Olivia spoke to Ethan, currently being detained. She asked for the digital recording. When he said no, she had an agent search his suitcase and pockets, finding the recording. After she recollected the recording, she broke it. Thankfully, Ethan was paranoid, and kept the actual recording.

Meanwhile, Jack was brought to Dr. Frankenstein. A small lighted operating room in the middle of a huge warehouse. He was forced onto an operation table, and was injected by something, most likely a mild sedative. After gathering a large needle, they started extracting spinal fluid from Jack, leaving him screaming.

A few minutes later, Renee and her team arrived at the airport. Kim was missing. Apparently, she was following Bob while he was attempting to escape. Looks like she’s got a bit of her father in her. She decided to stop following him, and report her findings to the nearest security guard. From him, she was able to call Renee. She told her the location. Bob showed up again, trying to run her down. The security guard noticed in time to shoot him, his car crashed and started burning. Kim ran to the car, and grabbed the laptop. Bob grabbed her, but she got out in time, her arm on fire. Despite the obvious thing to do, she did not stop drop and roll. She just discarded her jacket. Thankfully she got the laptop, and handed it to Renee when she arrived. The laptop was sending a signal to Jacks location.

Meanwhile, Ethan listened to the stolen digital recording incriminating Olivia.

At Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory, the doctor said Jack probably only had 2 hours left…which means he can’t die at the end of this season. Which means a cliffhanger. When the doctors set Jack free, they did not anticipate him being awake. So the second he was free, he single-handedly took down all the doctors. His back was probably feeling like crap at that second, but he escaped, Tony not too far behind.

It has almost been two years since 24 last aired.  Thanks to that pesky writer’s strike, the producer’s of 24 thought it was necessary to wait a full year to start the new season.  Why? Well because it is important for 24 to have every action filled episode. Well season seven is finally here, but before I give you all a recap, I have to warn you that the season opener wasn’t as good as any of the previous season openers in my opinion.

Maybe it is just because CTU is no more, maybe its because its more ‘realistic’ time wise…I don’t know, all I know is that I almost fell asleep at parts, and that is not cool when I’m watching 24.

8:00-9:00

So we started off with a car accident.  Some men in masks kidnapped a man driving his daughter to school.  The man orchestrating the whole thing was obviously Tony Almeida because of his “whatever voice.”

Jack Bauer was currently at a court hearing about his questionable means of justice.  Though Jack made an amazing argument, because, well, that’s just what he does.  He is awesome. Then an FBI agent, Rennee Walker removed him from the hearing because she needed his help.

She brought him to FBI headquarters, and told him Tony Almedia is alive and kicking, and is orchestrating a terrorist orginization.  Jack doesn’t believe it, but Agent Walker gets him to help.

The reason Tony kidnapped the father from the beginning, is because the man is a genious at making devices.  The man made Tony a device that intercepted air control for commercial flights.

Jack decided their first move is to get in contact with a man we’ve never seen before.  Some guy that Jack and Tony used to get information from.  When they got there, he was about to spill everything when one of Tony’s evil henchmen shot him dead from the roof of another building.  This told Jack that there was a mole working inside the FBI.  They locked the building down to find the shooter. Meanwhile, Tony called Jack to tell him to back off.

9:00-10:00

So if I didn’t explain this earlier…Tony took control of a plane at the end of the last episode… Now traffic control is freaking out to why its happening, so they called FBI, bla bla bla.

Basically, Tony had the plane land on a different runway, one that was intersecting a separate runway, to which another plane was landing.  He was showing traffic control what he was capable of.  He just about made the planes crash, then saved the day, saying it was only a demonstration.

The sniper from the last episode called Tony up, telling him he is stuck in the building.  So later in the episode Tony had his mole from the FBI sneak him out.  Though Jack is amazing, so he spotted it right off the bat, and he and Agent Walker secretly walked away from the location to follow him.

Meanwhile, we see that Tony has been working for one of the bad guys from 24: Redemption…We don’t know too much about that yet.

So the sniper arrived at Tony’s location, Bauer and Walker were close behind. But he heard them coming, but it was too late, Jack did a little beating and it was time to find Tony. There was a little fight, but needless to say, Jack found him in the second episode, asking him what happened to him.

So there is a separate White House storyline that I honestly don’t care for.  It has something to do with the continuation of the 24: Redemption movie…which I didn’t care for either.  Also, the President’s son was killed, said to be a suicide, but the President’s husband doesn’t believe it, so he’s been investigating a little…I just think that whole storyline is a bore, so I won’t talk a whole lot about it unless something really important happens.
