HEROES: 3.06 – Dying of the Light – Recap

Posted in Heroes on October 21, 2008 by awsumdave

ADAM MONROE -

His story was very short this season, but important.  In the very beginning of the episode, he is killed off by Mr. Patrelli, who completely steals Adam’s power, regenerating himself, and leaving Adam powerless, but since Adam is 400 years old, he immediatley turned to ash.  So now Mr. Patrelli is invulnerable, not to mention super-evil.

DAPHNE/PARKMAN -

So last time we saw Daphne, she was being ordered by Mr. Linderman to recruit Parkman into Pinehearst.  Tonight she met up with Parkman who was also looking for her.  He gets all giddy and says they get married in the future and are very happy together.  Daphne left all creeped out, but told him to wait for her…Parkman waits for the rest of the episode.

Daphne sped off to do some errands.  One of them was to break Sylar out, though he didn’t want to go. Another stop she made was to Suresh’s place, to which she found out he’s gone evil, and left. Eventually, she wound back to where she left Parkman, and told him to stay away from Pinehearst, to which he told her the same.

NATHAN/TRACI/SURESH -

So Nathan brought Traci to Suresh to help remove her abilities.  Suresh said they will work great together.  Then he poisoned them, knocking them out. So he could do some tests on them.  Traci found a quick opportune time to freeze Suresh, he got himself out of it, but he was temporarily weakened.  This allowed Traci to free herself, and Nathan, but Suresh pointed a gun at them saying he wasn’t finished yet.

HIRO/ANDO -

Last time we saw Hiro, he was killing Ando with a sword, in tonights episode, we kick off with an explanation.  In the last episode, apparently Hiro stopped time, transported himself to a movie-prop place, and grabbed a fake sword, and fake blood and went back to the bar and fake stabbed Ando.  After this, Daphne ordered Hiro to find and get the precog African guys, otherwise known as Isaac Mendez.  She told him to be careful, cause he can see them coming.

After several failed attempts, and getting hit on the head a couple times by a shovel, Hiro used his brain and was awarded.  The african man then told Hiro who the villains of the story were, the people down at Pinehearst, so he told them that in order to save the world, they must stop the Pinehearst company…basically.

CLAIRE -

In the last episode, Claire’s biological mother went out to see the Puppetman, and he had her on a tight leash.  In tonights episode, things really haven’t progressed.  He’s still forcing her to do things with his strange powers. So, Claire being all hero-like decided it was time to save mom.  Don’t forget her fake mom, who also went to help.  They ended up in a dilemma, because Claire’s weapon of choice is a frickin’ taser gun, the puppet man overpowered her easily.

The next thing they knew, the Bennett women were all sitting at a circular table, with the Puppetman forcing them to play a little Russian Roulette.  He forced Claire to shoot her biological mom first, but she got lucky, no bullet.  Claire’s fake mom was up next, to which she shot the gun until it hit Claire.  The puppetman didn’t know Claire’s power, so in the end, Claire knocked him out.

SYLAR/PETER -

After Daphne’s failed attempt to get Sylar out, he got himself out, and went to Peter.  Peter and Sylar both visited mother dearest.  The went to read her mind, inside her head, Peter saw only one symbol, the symbol of Pinehearst.

Peter and Sylar then had a brotherly fight, you know? The usual when one brother lunges at the other and flies several feet knocking them unconcious? Anyways, Peter went to Pinehearst and found his father running the place.  His dad gave his son a hug, draining him of his powers! CRAP!

HEROES: 3.05 – Angels and Monsters – Recap

Posted in Heroes on October 13, 2008 by awsumdave

This episode of Heroes basically started off right where the last left us hanging.  Peter traveled to the future, and now he’s back angry at Sylar for being related to him.  So he snapped his neck, but of course, Sylar can’t die, he just recovered quickly to find Peter starting to kill Angela, but Sylar saved her life, and guess what Sylar and HRG are partners again.

Both of Claires moms are worried about Claire. She has the ability to live forever, but there are men out there who have unique abilities that could hurt Claire.  Like the man who can suck people into black holes. Well Claire’s biological mom didn’t care too much about him, cause she saught after the “Puppet Man” because he is apparently more dangerous, and we’ll find out why later.

At the black hole guy’s house, Claire arrived to take down her first baddy, but she was surprised to find out that this man was in fact innocent, and was just looking for his family.  She had him until he over powered her, and explained himself.  She agreed to help him find his family, cause she’s the good guy..err girl.  Anyways seconds later, he created a black hole when HRG and Sylar ran in.  They got out of it, but lets just say Claire wasn’t too happy to see that Daddy was working with the Boogy man.

They found the black hole guy later in the episode.  Claire told him that her father was willing to listen, but he said it doesn’t matter because his family didn’t want to see him.  HRG pointed a gun at him and told him to kill Sylar.  Even though Sylar was evil, the man couldn’t become a killer so he created a black hole and sucked himself into it…nice.

Hiro had to unbury Adam Monroe, who was buried alive in order for help.  Adam knew about the formula, and agreed to help Hiro and Ando.  They went to a bar, where Adam was able to lose Hiro.  Later on Daphne and the other villains caught up to Hiro and Ando, and ordered him to kill Ando.  Naturally, Hiro didn’t even think twice, and killed Ando with a sword.  WHAT???

We learned that Suresh kidnapped a man to do tests on, but we also learned that theres more going on.  Maya told Suresh that his neighbor has gone missing, then we learned later that Suresh had his neighbor all stuck inside a web like thing.  It was gross. Kind of looked like oversized snot.

Maya found the man later on in the episode and called Suresh a monster after finding his….nest.  She shouldn’t have done that, cause then Suresh put her up in a web of snot as well.

Claire’s mom went ot see the Puppet Man, and we learned that he has the ability to control people’s actions.  Tonight we only saw a small portion of his abilities, it’s going to be intense next week as he forces Claire and her mom to play a game of Russian Roulette.

Then Angela had yet another vision of the future involving the dead bodies of Nathan, Peter, and Traci.  All by that hands of none other than Mr. Patrelli.

We also learned that Matt Parkman’s father is controlling the vision of Mr. Linderman.  Good to know he doesn’t exist after all.  Turns out he is working for Mr. Patrelli.

Good episode overall, I’m interested in seeing WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED WITH ANDO!

HEROES: 3.03 – One of Us, One of Them – Recap

Posted in Heroes on September 30, 2008 by awsumdave

It’s Heroes time everyone! Heroes is back again, and like any Heroes episode, this one was completely packed.  So lets get right to it!

Last time we left Heroes, we learned that Angela Petrelli is apparently Sylar’s mom.  Well they continued this story a bit further, explaning that she gave him up for adoption.  That’s just too weird for me, but whatever. It’s Heroes.  Since Sylar has been captured, Angela noticed that he needed to be fed, so she offered him an innocent super-hero to take her power.  Is Angela good or bad?

Villains:

The villains that escaped level five last week, fly under the radar this episode by robbing a bank.  Well not really, it seems they are only doing this to get The Company’s attention, so they can kill whoever comes. Which is HRG and Sylar, but I’ll get to that in a little bit.  Peter’s identity was found out by one of the other villains.

HRG/Sylar:

HRG’s first partner was the man who could turn invisible.  His latest was the Hatian.  Now Angela told him his newest partner would be none other than Sylar! What!?!  HRG was in about the same amount of surprise as me, as he said he did not like that idea, because Sylar was a monster, but he really had no choice.  Papa Bennett and Sylar were now partners.

HRG and Sylar got the call about the hostage situation at the bank, so off they went.  At the scene, Sylar actually put on a pretty good act pretending to be a FBI agent.  Pretty histarical.  So their first step was to get someone inside that bank, HRG decided it would be him.  Stupid idea, retard, you have no powers, and Sylar is a homocidal maniac with a ton of powers, think that through!  Oh well, HRG is stubborn.  So in he went.

Inside, Mr. Bennett was taken hostage with the others, just what they planned.  They were about to kill him when Peter yelled at them to stop, this is when we realize Peter’s new ability, sound manipulation.  His yells were equal to punches, and they knocked out all the villains.  Just than, time stopped, and future Peter took modern-Peter out of Jesse.  So now, Jesse was about to kill HRG, but Sylar intervened, saving HRG’s life.  They actually made an okay team.

While they were finishing up stuff at the bank, Sylar backstabbed HRG, locking him outside while he killed Jesse for his power.  He said that he could never be anything more than a cold-blooded killer.  Now THAT’S the Sylar I like!

Hiro/Ando:

In Japan, Hiro and Ando were still after the Speedster that Hiro called “Nemesis.”  They told her to give up the second half of the formula, she said no…just filler really.  Then all their powers stopped as a familiar face walked by with a briefcase, the Hatian!

Later, Hiro and Ando treat themselves to a movie, and the Speedster was also there, interupting the movie.  They bikkered a little, [I swear they are going to get married.]  Then, look who was also enjoying Godzilla, or whatever those Japanese people watch these days, the Hatian was at the movies too, going out the back door, so off they went to spy.

While spying they put together a plan to steal the briefcase, because it had to be important.  So amazingly they were actually able to get it, just before Speedster stole THAT away too.  I don’t like her character.  She’s mean.

Parkman:

Parkman is still out in the middle of no where with the crazy African version of Isiaac Mendez.  He showed him several future painting of Parkman’s life.  He also showed him a painting of what would have been had he not have changed the past, so he had to remove the painting, and re-paint.  He put his walkman on and went to work.  When he was done, it was a painting of Parkman, carrying a girl that appeared to be dead.  My guess..it’s Speedster. At the end we see the African guy put the headphones on Parkman, and it seems he could see the future as well….weird..

Claire:

After half the episode of Claire whining about not being able to save the world, her mom brough her into a storage container.  Much like the same container that Peter was found in last season’s premiere.  Her training was simple, survival.  She burnt the inside of the container, making it difficult for Claire to breathe, taking out all the oxygen.  Good training, but why wasn’t her mom sweating or losing any breath? Plot hole….

Nikki

After testing out her cool new super power, she consulted Nathan, asking him who this Nikki person is.  He has nothing to say, because to him, she is Nikki.  So she sets off to find more answers.  She showed up at her own funeral, or rather the real Nikki.  Which means she can only be Jessica, or….a twin?  But she met up with Nikki’s son.  He knew right off the bat she wasn’t his mother, but he felt confortable enough to show off his power.  He used it to help her find more things out.  Apparently she and Nikki had the same doctor, so OFF she went to meet with Dr. Strange..or whatever. When she showed up at Dr. Strange’s house, he told her that he created her….what now?

HEROES: The Butterfly Effect – Recap

Posted in Heroes on September 23, 2008 by awsumdave

So where did we leave off, OH, Suresh has super strength and agility, HOW COULD I FORGET?? Anyways…

Peter/Angela: Let’s get started with episode two of Heroes!  The first thing we see is Peter’s mom, Angela, has one of her super-powered-future-seeing dreams, and you know what we see?  Every famous hero dead from some very bad guys.  Let’s not forget Claire’s decapitated head!  She woke up, and told Peter to leave, cause he’s screwing everything up.  Something about an Ashton Kutcher film was also talked about in this episode.  But Peter was a little pre-occupied with his strings.

Claire: Well, now we learn Claire is back to filming suicide attemps, as she jumps in front of a moving train.  You see, her power is more advanced now, and she can’t even feel pain anymore.  Before her ultimate demise, Peter flew in to save her. Here is what happened:

Why did you save me?

Cause you’re an idiot!

Oh, thank you Uncle Pete!

No problem, now lets pose for the camera!

Nathan/Nikki: So Tracy (AKA Nikki) went to visit angel-stricken Nathan Patrelli to ask him to become senator.  I could be wrong, but isn’t that what he is always doing?  Nathan’s best friend, Linderman, told him to take the offer, but we learn later that Linderman isn’t really there. He is really Nathan’s imaginary friend. So Nathan accepts the job offer.

So Nikki, er, I mean Tracy returned home, and a reporter which was seen earlier, is trying to get Nikki to confess that she is Nikki.  This ticks her off, and she turned the reporter into ice, exploding him into small pieces.  Since when did mirror girl turn into Mr. Freeze???

Hiro/Ando: In Japan, Hiro found out how to find The Flash, err I mean super-speed chick.  She lives in Paris, so off he and Ando went. Hiro is still a little untrustworthy of Ando, because in the future, he kills Hiro.  But they went to Paris, super-chick had the Mona Lisa in her bedroom.  Anyways, Hiro stole her medallion, and when she arrived home, she wanted it back, so they arranged a switch.  That didn’t go well, because she got away, BUT, Hiro was able to put a tracking device on the medallion. That smart, smart small Japanese man.

Parkman: Let’s get back to Parkman.  He’s in the middle of nowhere.  Africa, to be precise.  We all think he’s gonna die out there, when someone came up to him revealing they like Britney Spears, because she is American, and they had Isaac’s future painting powers.

Suresh/Maya: So Suresh is back home, hanging upside down….like a bat.  Last episode, the way he moved reminded me of Spider-Man.  When Maya came home, he impressed her by going all Spider-Man, and climbed the wall, proving my theory correct.

He was so proud of himself, that he planted a kiss on Maya.  The next morning, he woke up, went to the bathroom and had scales or something all over his back.  EW.

Bob/Elle: Like an episode of COPS, we see a police video of two police officers getting taken down by Sylar.  Elle trys to warn her dad, but oh crap, his head was cut off.  I guess Sylar really wanted the power of turning things to gold than, huh?  At the secret prison, Sylar tries to cut Elle’s head off two, but she went off in an electric combution, leaving Sylar unconcious.  After the incident, all the inmates escaped, including Peter, who was in the killer’s body.

Claire (cont.) HRG returned home after escaping from prison, but not for long, he needs to catch those other criminals that escaped, cause they can very well destroy life as they know it.  So his mission is to keep Claire safe, and home.  So he brought her a babysitter, her real fire-making mom.

Then at the end, we learn that Angela Patrelli is really Sylar’s mom.  The end.  wait…..WHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT??????????

HEROES: The Second Coming – Recap

Posted in Heroes on September 23, 2008 by awsumdave

I’m going to make this as compact as possible, cause there is so much to talk about, and so little time to explain everything.  First off, the first episode starts off four years in the future.  Apparently the future is screwed up, because everyone knows about the people with powers, and they are all getting hunt down.  Peter runs into Claire, who now has black hair, her plan is just to end it all, so she trys to shoot Peter, but silly Claire, Pete’s got Hiro’s power.

Pete stops time, takes Claire’s gun and goes in the the past, and with her gun, shoots Nathan.  The same shot from last season’s finale.  [INSERT HOLY CRAP MOMENT HERE].  So back at the hospital, the doctors try to operate on Nathan, but unsuccesfully, cause shortly after, Nathan dies, but is resurrected! He says it’s because of God. AKA Mr. Linderman, but we’ll get to that later.

It’s true. I was touched by an angel!

So here’s where it gets confusing: At the police station Pete is grabing the murder weapon, but it’s not now Pete, it’s future Pete.  Parkman figures it out, and Pete does this weird motion and somehow pulls Parkman into Africa, in the middle of nowhere.

Angela Patrelli makes a visit to the hospital, and notices Future Pete, and knows he’s from the future.  He told her to relax, that her son is safe, (inside the body of a convicted killer.)  So now, we find out that Mr. Linderman is back from the dead…or is he…, and somehow, he was the one that healed Nathan. Also Nikki is alive, but it’s not REALLY Nikki…I know, confusing.

In Japan, Hiro and Ando stumble upon a message from Kaito, saying DON’T OPEN THE VAULT, IT HOLDS THE KEY TO SOMETHING THAT CAN DESTROY THE WORLD!!!  So Hiro opens the vault, and sees a piece of paper with a formula on it, and within a second or two, it was stolen by fast girl, I call her.  Who then knocked Hiro out when he tried to follow her.

Trying to figure out what was so important about that formula, Hiro went into the future and watched Ando kill him with a bolt of red lightning.  Awesome.  So now Hiro is ready to save the world……..again.

At Claire’s house, Sylar showed up and ate her brain.  Well not really, he spared her life, because she has some great potential. So now Sylar can heal.

Professor Suresh found out the key to all the mutants power.  Adrenaline!  He figured out that with this information, he can give powers to anyone!  HAHAHA.  Maya doesn’t want him to, cause that would be evil, so he says Okay, okay, and injects himself! End of episode 1. Check back later for my recap on episode 2.
